User Manual Menggunakan Modem CDMA

1. GETTING STARTED
1.1 Getting Started:
Before you use our products, you must first:
1. Have a properly configured SIM/UIM (Provided by the Service Provider) - facilitates permission to use network.
2. Install the products software, located on the installation CD.
3. Insert SIM/UIM card into the products SIM/UIM card slot.
4. Insert products into the PC card slot on your PC for Microsoft Windows to detect and configure.
5. Launch products, create a profile if necessary and select the Connect button.

1.2 System Requirements:
1.2.1 133 MHz or faster Pentium- compatible
1.2.2 Windows 2000 or Windows XP
1.2.3 At least 64 MB RAM
1.2.4 50 MB available hard drive space
1.2.5 CD-ROM drive
1.2.6 Type II, PC CARD slot --- 3.3V



2. Driver and Hardware Installation
2.1 Insert the CD that contains the products installation software into the CD-ROM drive of your computer, the installation procedures will start automatically. If the auto-run program does not start, go to the drive path, find setup.exe and double-click file on the CD.
2.2 The "AMS Electronics(Shenzhen) Company Limited welcome you" window will appear. Click next. See Figure 1.

2.3In installation path dialog box (Figure 2), select the installation path, then click next,

2.4The “additional icon” window(Figure 3) will appear. Read the information, choose and click next.

2.5 The "Setup Status" window will appear while products is being installed. See Figure 4.

 2.6 Following, the "insert card" window(Figure 5) will appear. Insert the SIM/UIM card into the modem, and then insert the modem into the PC card slot of your PC.

2.7When the installation is complete, the "Completing setup wizard" window(Figure 6) will appear.

.2.8 Click Finish.
Note: SIM/UIM card contact points must face downwards, and the orientation notch must be positioned as shown in the picture.

3. Introduction Manager Interface
3.1 Entering products Manager interface
Double click icon on the desktop to start the products Manager. If the system prompts you to input a PIN, please input a correct one. PIN code just can be inputted 3 times. Over three times, the SIM/UIM card will be locked.
3.2 Shortcut Icons Description
: Connecting or disconnecting the internet.
: Accessing the Call service.
: Accessing the SMS.
: Accessing the Contacts service.
3.3 Internet Service
3.3.1 Network Connection Settings
Creating a New Profile:
1) Click Connection Settings on the menu bar.
2) Click
3) Enter a new profile name and other parameters.
4) Click to save the new profile.
Note: Please consult the network operator for all the information to be inputted.
3.3.2 Accessing the Internet
1) Click to connect the network.
2) When the connection is completed, corresponding information about the connected network will be displayed on the right side of the window, which includes:
* the duration of the current connection;
* The data flow volume of the current connection;
* the volume, rate and the top rate of the current sending and received data.
3) Click to disconnect the network.
3.4 Call Service
Insert an earphone into the earphone jack of the products before a call service.
3.4.1 Making a Call by Directly Entering a
Telephone Number
1) Click to open the Call Service window.
2) You may enter a telephone number by clicking telephone keypad on the Call Service window.
3) Click to make a call.
4) Click to hang up.

Note: You may click to cancel the input number digit by digit or to cancel the whole input number by clicking and holding it for a moment. Alternatively, you may also do it by pressing the Backspace key of the computer keyboard.
3.4.2 Making a Call by Choosing a Telephone
Number from the Contacts List
1) Click to go to the Call Service window.
2) Click to open the Contacts list. Double click a contact or select a contact and then click :
 If the contact you have selected has only one number, this number will appear on the window and be dialed out directly.
 If the contact has two or more numbers, double click the intended number from the pop-up Select Phone Number window or click after selecting the number; and the selected number will appear on the window and be dialed out directly.
3) Click to hang up.
3.4.3 Answering a call
Products may prompt you an incoming call by sound or vision. You may select [Settings/Options] to set the prompt mode for incoming calls.
You will hear a sound on an incoming call by earphone if you have enabled “Equipment alert tone”.
1) Click to enter the Call Service window.
2) Click to make a call.
3) Click to hang up.
* You will see a pop-up window on an incoming call if you have enabled "Alert window"
1) Click to answer a call.
2) Click to reject a call.
3.4.4 Volume Control
Click to open the Call Service window. You may adjust the voice volume by moving.
3.5 SMS
3.5.1 Writing a New Message
1) Click to open the SMS window.
2) Click to open a New window.
3) Enter a telephone number and message contents.
4) Click to send the message.
Note: You may also click to search for a telephone number in the Contacts book.
3.5.2 Viewing a Message
An incoming message can be prompted by sound or vision as is preset on the menu bar [Settings/Options].
You will hear sound prompt on a new incoming message if you have enabled "Alert tone".
1) Click to enter the SMS window.
2) Click to enter the inbox to view received messages.
You will see a pop-up window on a new incoming message if you have enabled "Alert window".
Click on the pop-up window to enter the Inbox to read messages, or click to leave messages unread.
3.6 Contacts Service
3.6.1 Creating an Item in the Contacts
1) Click to enter the Contacts window.
2) Click .
3) Enter such information as Name, telephone numbers, E-Mail and other information.
4) Click to save the information.
3.6.2 Modifying Items in the Contacts
1) Click to enter the Contacts window.
2) Highlight the information to be modified and double click it or click .
3) Click to save the modified information.
3.6.3 Deleting Items from the Contacts
1) Click to open the Contacts window.
2) Select one or more items you want to remove from the contacts, and then click .
3) Click to confirm the deletion.
3.6.4 Sending a Message
1) Click to open the Contacts window.
2) Select one or more items from the Contacts, and then click ; the program will jump to the window for creating a new message.
3) The mobile numbers retrieved appear in the blank column behind the "Contacts". Input the content
for the message and click .
3.6.5. Making a Call
1) Click to open the Contacts window.
2) Select the item that contains the number you want to dial from the Contacts, and then click .
If the item you have selected contains only one telephone number, the Call Service window will be displayed automatically.
If two or more telephone numbers are contained in
the item you have selected, the Select Phone Number window will be displayed and you will be prompted to select one number. After doing that, click and the Call Service window will be displayed.
3) The phone number you have selected will be displayed automatically in the Call Service window; and the number will be dialed out automatically.
3.6.6. Searching for Items in the Contacts
1) Click .
2) In the Find window:
Select a field item from the pull-down list in the "Condition" area. Enter relevant searching terms in the "Value" text box.
Select "Match Whole Word Only" and/or "Match Case".
3) Click or to begin searching.
